BIOGRAPHY

Jefferson Dor is known for his captivating persona and his ability to draw people in, whether on stage or in front of the camera. 

Jefferson's first award nomination came at The Lake Worth Playhouse for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Play for portraying “Sam Hendrix” in “Wait Until Dark”. Jefferson then starred as “Leo” in “Lovesick”, which won Best Short Film at Central Florida Short Night. Jefferson also starred as “The Reaper” in the film “The Beginning of The End”, which was nominated for several awards, including Best Short Film at the Big Apple Film Festival in New York City, Best Short Film at New York Shorts International Film Festival, Best Short Film & Best Cinematography at Venice Shorts in Los Angeles, and winner of Best Director at Athens Film Festival. 

Jefferson is a classically trained actor who graduated with a degree in theater, film, and television at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts on a full-ride scholarship. Jefferson studied various acting techniques, such as Strasberg, Meisner, and UTA Hagen. His theater highlights include "Flip LeVay" in "Stick Fly" and "Sir Toby Belch" in "Twelfth Night". Upon graduation, his talents won him an invitation to join The Academy's prestigious New York Company on another full-ride scholarship. His New York Company credits include being double cast as "King Duncan" and "Macduff" in Shakespeare's most thrilling play "Macbeth", "Boris Trigorin" in "The Seagull", "Theseus" in "A Midsummer Night's Dream", and "Da Creedy" in "Phoebe in Winter".

Jefferson was born in Newark, New Jersey. His family is of Haitian descent and moved to Delray Beach, Florida when he was just a child. Jefferson is now a Local Hire living in New York City. Jefferson is also a big sports fanatic! His favorite sports clubs are The San Francisco 49ers, The Los Angeles Lakers, and The New York Yankees!
